With RESET LAN, Anaaja and Andi (Blank Tournament) brought their dream to life and created something that had never existed in Germany before: a fully on-site Call of Duty: Warzone LAN tournament.
The event was implemented in close collaboration with Xperion Cologne, one of the most central gaming locations in Germany. The team supported the project from providing the venue to handling the technical setup, production, and coordination of the gaming setups. Elgato was also involved as a strong partner, ensuring that all 32 participants could stream smoothly and in their usual quality directly from the LAN using their peripherals. A special highlight: all participants streamed with branded, pre-configured event overlays, giving our event partners, Monster Energy and SkillEvade, additional visibility.
A total of 32 players competed in 16 duos at the offline event, facing off in multiple matches. The tournament started with a group stage, from which the best teams advanced to the knockout stage. In the end, the team of Melvn and Stukex came out on top, securing a share of the €3,000 prize pool.
A unique element of the tournament was the preceding online qualifier, which took place around three weeks before the offline event and was hosted live by Anaaja and Andi. In this open tournament, one duo was able to secure a coveted spot at the LAN. All other teams were invited, resulting in a diverse mix of top-tier players and well-known creators.
The entire event was streamed live on Twitch for around 12 hours, averaging over 1,000 concurrent viewers. Anaaja and Andi hosted the broadcast alongside various guests, commentated the matches, and guided the audience throughout the tournament day.
With RESET LAN, a collaborative project was created, bringing together creators, tournament organizers, partners, and the community.
